REVIEW VIDEOS

A German high quality brazilwood bow at an unbelievable price. A medium to strong stick with simulated whalebone winding and nickel-mounted ebony frog. An excellent bow for an intermediate player.

High quality bows representing the finest German workshops. Expert wood selection, artistic cutting, and a jewel-like finish are combined to produce these beautiful bows.

Do you need a new bow? Most players, regardless of skill level, eventually come to the realization that a new bow would be beneficial to their technical and musical development. If your current bow feels like it slips and skates on the surface of the string... if you have a hard time producing more than just a few tone colors... if your off-the-string bowings are noisy and hard to control, then you should consider trying different bows. Please call one of our specialists, all string players, to discuss the Shar In-Home Trial Program: 866-742-7270.

Excellent Intermediate Bow!

I am a 64 year old woman who took up violin 2 years ago. I bought this bow for myself for my birthday. I am amazed at how much better my tone sounds! It is a great bow for the price. Thank you for carrying this bow! Diane

Beautiful sound!

I LOVED this bow! Had I been looking for a wooden bow instead of carbon fiber this time, this would surely be the one I picked!!

Fantastic Bow!

I did an in home bow trial a few months back and this bow was in that trial. It was a difficult decision, as Shar's bows are really nice, but this one was the bow I kept coming back to, even over the pernambuco ones. It's light for a brazilwood bow but not too much (I think around 62 grams). Perfectly balanced, nice vibration, stiff enough to produce a powerful sound but enough give for doing spiccato/staccato. I love the color too :)

Good bow

A friend recommended this bow brand to me, and I did some shopping and selected this model. I like this bow and am enjoying using it. It was as good as I expected.

Pretty Light

I purchased this bow a while back. When I received it I immediately noticed it was substantially lighter in weight than my original bow. This was, however, expected seeing my original bow was rather heavy. I figured I would get used to it after a while,
but after a few months of use it still seemed difficult to control. My sister had a lighter bow than mine so she bought it off me and was pretty exited about it. Unfortunately she noticed the same thing. Her playing worsened the longer she used the bow. I
would not say it is a bad bow, but neither I or my sister played very well with it. Our teacher did like it. She said it had a nice even weight, and she used it a couple times when her bow was out of commission.
