The weekend is here folks, which means it's time to get cracking with some gaming. Talking Point What Are You Playing This Weekend? (11th January)
Another week without 'Switch 2'
The weekend is here and it's time to play some games, but first, let's recap what went down in the world of Nintendo this week. The big news was 'Switch 2'. No, we still don't know anything about it officially, but accessory manufacturer Genki took to this year's CES with a "replica" model that appears to be the real...

Wondership..?
Just recently, it was revealed that developer Acquire worked with Nintendo to brainstorm "over 100 options" for the title of its new RPG that would go on to be called Mario & Luigi: Brothership. Now, in a fresh interview with Nintendo Dream (thanks,
Talking Point What Are You Playing This Weekend? (Christmas 2024 Edition)
Holly *and* Jolly? In this economy?
Christmas is right around the corner and we're feeling sufficiently merry and bright, so it's time for another edition of What Are You Playing! This week on Nintendo Life, we all questioned our sanity as we checked out our Nintendo Switch Year in Review, a new Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket expansion ha
Random Nintendo And Acquire Brainstormed "Over" 100 Subtitles For Mario & Luigi: Brothership
What do you think of the final name?
Nintendo is known to workshop all sorts of ideas and game titles, and this was the same case with Mario & Luigi: Brothership. News Acquire Comments On Mario & Luigi: Brothership's Familiar Opening Cutscene
"Some coincidence, huh?"
If you’ve recently played Mario & Luigi: Brothership, then chances are you might have noticed something rather familiar with its opening cutscene. That is, of course, if you’ve also seen The Super Mario Bros. Movie from Nintendo and Illumination. You see, both the game and the movie feature our favourite platforming...

Japanese Charts There's No Stopping Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
Another big one for Square's latest
Famitsu is back with our latest look at the physical software sales chart for Japan, and it's another week in the top spot for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. Square Enix's latest pulled in an additional 91,362 copies between Switch and PS5 this week, which is far from its debut's 821,770 total, but it's still...
Random Hitting Mario & Luigi: Brothership's Max Level Takes An Insane Amount Of Patience
Great EXPectations
Of all those who started Mario & Luigi: Brothership earlier this month, fewer will have seen it through to the bitter end. Fewer still will have completed all of its side missions and unlockables and we'd wager that an even smaller number will have reached the plumbing protagonists' full potential with a pair of max levels...

Hands On Mario & Luigi: Brothership Shows The Bros. Are Back In Classic RPG Form
Dial L for Luigi
You would be forgiven for assuming the Mario & Luigi series was no more. It has been nine years since Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam was released as the last new entry. Since then, Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story received 3DS remakes, but then developer AlphaDream shut up shop in 2019 after
About The Game
All hands on deck for an island-hopping adventure starring Mario and Luigi
The brothers return for a brand-new adventure on the high seas! Set sail with Mario and Luigi on Shipshape Island (part ship, part island) and journey through the vast world of Concordia. Launch out of Shipshape’s cannon to visit, explore, and quest your way through islands that range from tropical rainforests to bustling cities. Meet new friends along the way, like Connie and Snoutlet (definitely not a pig), and encounter familiar faces from the Mushroom Kingdom like Peach and Bowser, who may help—or hinder—you on your journey!
You’ll have to rely on Mario and Luigi’s brotherly bond to succeed. Use Bros. Moves to get past obstacles while you explore, and powerful Bros. Attacks in a dynamic twist on turn-based combat. You’ll need every edge this “brothership” will give you to save the day!

I'm so hyped man!!
So glad to see this series return!
Hyped, but wishing it was co-op!
I think the fact that there’s a significant loading screen before each battle has tipped me over the edge into skipping this one. I’ll wait and see if the game runs significantly better on the Nintendo’s next console.
In the meantime, only a week until Dragon Quest III. Man, I hope that doesn’t have similar loading time issues.
