Update #2 [Thu 27th Jan, 2022 00:45 GMT]: It seems Kit will also be moving on from Nintendo. The co-creator of Nintendo Minute announced earlier before he would be leaving the company after 13 years. Here's his full statement:
"Today is my 13 year anniversary of starting at Nintendo. It’s also my last day at Nintendo. I’m fortunate to have been a small part of this incredible company for all these years. It was the experience of a lifetime full of unforgettable moments and people.
"13 years is a long time and I’m excited to experience the surprises and fun with fresh eyes alongside all of you. I’m also grateful for the chance to reflect on this time and think about what I’d like to do next. Thanks to everyone for your support – it’s meant everything to me."

Update [Sat 15th Jan, 2022 00:45 GMT]: In an update via social media, Krysta has announced she has decided to move on from Nintendo. Here's her full statement:
"After over 14 years, I've decided to leave Nintendo. To be able to work at my dream job for so long and be part of some of the most memorable moments in gaming has truly been incredible. But the best part was all the people that I've had the privilege to work with.
"They've inspired me everyday and I'm thankful to call them lifelong friends. I'm really excited for what the future holds and I hope you all stay with me on this crazy journey. I love you all."
Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser also chimed in to thank Krysta for her contributions to the company over the years:
And so did Kit:
Original story [Sat 18th Dec, 2021 04:05 GMT]: If you subscribe to Nintendo's official YouTube channel, you've likely seen at least one episode of 'Nintendo Minute' hosted by Kit and Krysta. Each week they talk about the latest happenings in the world of Nintendo and of course play some games.
Sadly though, it seems they've just aired their final episode. The show started out in 2013, and after 8 years and over 400 episodes, Nintendo has decided to end it. The "final episode" is an emotional reflection on Kit and Krysta's 'Nintendo Minute' journey over the years.
Although the show has now ended, according to the Twitter profiles of Kit and Krysta - both are still employed at Nintendo of America. If we hear anything else, we'll be sure to provide an update.
On behalf of Nintendo Life, thanks to Kit and Krysta for their contribution to the Nintendo community. How do you feel about this news yourself? Tell us in the comments below.

This seemed cool. I never watched it, but it's unfortunate that it's ending.
Hopefully nintendo thinks of something to replace it!
8 years is pretty crazy to be honest. Can’t believe it’s been that long but yeah, the Nintendo social media presence really ramped up in the Wii U era. Quite a lot of genuine steps forward then in terms of engagement from an often mysterious company.
Goodbye people I've never seen before in my life!
I barely watched Nintendo Minute, but man it's sad to see them go. I'm gonna miss seeing Nintendo Minute episodes pop up in my notification timeline. Who knows what Kit and Krysta are going to be doing next. Only time will tell I suppose.
I remember watching all their Nintendo Minutes via my Wii U. I kind of thought it ended when the Switch came out.
I feel like this was very abrupt and could have been far better than a clip show.
Truly I never thought the show was interesting. Nonetheless, 8 years is a long time.
This is sad. I actually would watch them once in a while, and grew quite fond of both Kit and Krysta. Some segments were funny, some were predictable, but I always enjoyed seeing their banter.
Anyone else feel like Nintendo is getting more reclusive as time goes on?
What a bummer! I wonder what made Nintendo pull the plug? 8 yrs is a long time, a whole console lifespan! Fan feedback or maybe they have another way to engage with the community in the future. Hmmm!
This is one of those things I regularly saw pop up on my YouTube, and I had affection for the show in theory but rarely watched it. Maybe it's my fault the show ended 😔
@Tourtus I feel like the data leaks from the past year hadn't helped, but that's probably unrealistic to assume.
Then again, Nintendo swiftly cancelled that Zelda Netflix production after news of it got leaked, so who knows?
@malamiteltd Who's to say the Netflix production was real to begin with? Could've been a pitch or something from Netflix themselves that was accidentally leaked, since there were many pitches for Zelda movies and shows in the past.
Nintendo Minute was always a fun watch. I'm ready to see what else Nintendo comes up with, now.
Like many others, I watched several episodes but never regularly, which is perhaps why Nintendo is finally pulling the plug. Kit and Krysta seem very nice and get along fine, but most videos were edited with a somewhat plodding pace and almost always went on a bit too long. (Yeah, I know "Nintendo Minute is never a minute," but they were rarely able to keep my attention the entire time.)
For me, Nintendo Minute never quite lived up to the goofy and weirdly self-unaware Nintendo Week videos that popped up on the Wii's Nintendo Channel, and the similar series on the 3DS that featured a young female comedian. I forget both her name and the name of that series, but I enjoyed them. [UPDATE: I found them! It was "The Nintendo Show 3D" hosted by Jessie Cantrell.]
Wile I never really liked them, That is sad the hear, they could be some pretty interesting people to watch at times.
I only caught like 4-5 episodes of Nintendo Minute, and I just never really enjoyed it. It's a bit shocking though that Nintendo pulled the plug this abruptly. You'd figure if the show were running for 8 years, they would've announced this on social media or something.
It also makes me wonder if the hosts knew about the show's cancelation ahead of time, or if they heard about it last minute, because I heard that Krysta looked like she wasn't really happy, and was putting on a smile just for the show or something in this episode.
@Tourtus I think so. Ever since Doug Bowser has taken the reigns NOA has been media silent. To be fair Reggie wasn't a hugely social guy, but we rarely hear from NOA anymore. It could be anything from the ongoing COVID pandemic/endemic, etc causing a lack of events and communication as time goes on. Hopefully things turn around eventually as it would be nice to hear more from NOA eventually.
I didn't love or watch every single Nintendo Minute episode, but Kit and Krysta were genuinely entertaining. Some favorite episodes were showing off new hardware, some of the quizzes, and the more recent Nintendo Store and Best Buy Christmas charity shopping spree episodes.
I personally preferred the old Nintendo Week from the days of the Wii.
I loved watching this, can’t believe it’s ending… I wonder if there will be a different show in 2022?
I came across a few episodes here and there... some of the content was interesting, but I just found the hosts annoying, mainly the guy.
8 Years and 400 episodes is a pretty good run...
I wasn’t prepared for this. They’re the only corporate sponsored vlog that I consistently watch, and their videos have steered me toward gifts for people the past few years. I’d guess it’s because they’re finding it harder and harder to find unique conversation points since the past two years have taken a toll on production due to the pandemic. I’ll miss them… hopefully they’re not off the air too long and can pickup on something new.
The end of an era indeed : this happened, Reggie left (it was nice seeing him in the clip), no mynintendo apps and discounts and, above all, no background music on the console (main menu, eshop etc), this truely feels like an end of an era and a very different Nintendo.
I'll definitely miss it but I'm glad I got to experience it.
I never really liked them. They're like morning talk show hosts. They're too happy. It creeped me out.
That breaks my heart. Been a fan since the beginning. Loved their competitive dynamic, and all the pranks from Producer Jasmin who was pretty much the third unseen cast member. Wish them the best in their future endeavors. Especially Krysta, she was hilarious. I kinda lowkey hated Kit though.
It's kind of sad that it's ending so abruptly (and why...?) but I honestly thought the hosts had pretty rough chemistry which would frequently generate some uncomfortable moments. Kind of impressed that lingered for, what, eight years? Or maybe it just got worse, who knows. I'm not personally invested in the series but hopefully Kit and Krysta end up doing alright after this.
Eight years is… certainly not a minute! I wonder what they’ll be up to next…
I wish I knew why this show was ending. I hope it'll be replaced with something, anything else. But it probably won't be
@Maxz Remember, Nintendo Minute is never just a minute.
Honestly thought they stopped along time ago.
Nintendo Minute was more of an afterthought, but it reminded us that even Nintendo can be a regular YouTube content creator themselves if they wanted to. Them and Nintendo Power really brought out the community aspect of Nintendo. I got pretty interested once they showed how they dealt with the 2020 pandemic. They didn't stop; instead, Kit and Krysta literally recreated their studio in ACNH which was a genius idea that may have been one of the contributing factors to the game's pandemic success.
@Tourtus
Yes, and it's my biggest fear for the years to come. Marketing is definitely taking much bigger turn and I'm not entirely sure if that's for the better or worse of it. The newer marketing had most definitely has pissed a lot of fans off though.
The Game Awards 2019-2021 was another indication. Previous years showed us that Nintendo was willing to showcase and announce games very early, even if it was consequential to an extent. The games didn't have to be finished or ready to showcase back then. Nowadays since 2019, they pretty much just disappeared.
I do not blame them for leaving. Video Game social media has become so toxic. They are nice people and will be sorely missed.
I always thought the dude treated the lady unkind.
Whoa… I read the news earlier thinking it’d be a smooth end to an era and kind of predictable, but just now watched it… That was rough. Kit powered through it well, but Krysta is having some serious feels. Totally not cool with this ending now because they clearly want to keep going.

huh. so it's been 8 years that I've been saying "I gotta start watching those." I'm disappointed in myself that I never watched it because I bet I would have loved it.
Just like I was in love with Alison and (Dark) Gary on whatever that show was called ^_^
I thought it already ended. For 8 years or so it was still awkwardly edited with weird chemistry between the two. It was never a heavy hitter in terms of viewership, especially given the size of the channel, but then again you've got to wonder just how much support it got from Nintendo
On one hand I'm impressed this little show lasted 8 years, and the rattional part of me knows it wasnt going to last forever.
On the other hand, I'm going to be very disapointed if nintendo discontinues it's lowkey entertainment entirely. It doesn't even need to be a new series per-se just something interesting that isn't a trailer or a direct every couple months.
@mariopartyfan68 i got the. Impressaion this was a decision from the higher-ups
@Tourtus they’ve been reclusive for a good 15 years to the present. It’s nothing new; fans have been thirsty for info for all sorts of games and products.
It may have been, but I watched all their videos and towards the end I noticed in alot of the comments the people were slamming them for talking so good about diamond and pearl and Mario golf, and other games. People were cussing at them, leaving vulgar comments, and they were just having fun. So I am sure they are glad they do not have to put up with that anymore. It may not have been their desicion, but I bet they are glad they do not have to put up with all the toxic junk that they had to put up with. And I wish them the best.
I never watched Nintendo Minute regularly, however, I would catch an episode here and there and enjoyed the content.
It's a shame, I thought they were both wonderful; they had great chemistry and the show was really wholesome and fun. Will miss it.
@oconnoclast , the article says they're still employed...but you might be onto something.
I loved them, but felt like they’re getting too… old now. I’m glad it’s over. We need newer blood on-screen 🤷🏼♂️
I really liked there videos but hopefully they will go onto something new. 8 years wow and that was Wii U time as well so they've done well 😊 good luck guys 👍
This is typical of "news" today. Always get just half a story.
Honestly, I don't get why they do things like this. It was perfectly fine as it was.
Noooooo. It's a sad day for me
@Hikingguy yeah Kit always was a jerk. Like he couldn’t believe Krysta played games or if she beat him he would claim she cheated. Sadly that kind of behavior is still common in gaming-and super common for their age group. They worked best when just talking about games and not each other’s gaming experiences or playing each other because his dudebro arse hat would come out. That being said Krysta got good at getting him back.
I had this mental imagem of them that they always looked like that and barely aged a year in 8 years, but then, that clip from their very first Nintendo Minute! They were barely babies!
The fact that most guys on here didn’t know about em speaks volumes about how this show was handled. No point having a good show if you don’t market it.
Ngl, I find all the American announcers and presenters bar one really annoying, fake and patronising sounding, plus try too hard to be funny when they're not at all witty... the commentary in the recent Indie World was excruciating.
The only one I like is the guy who does the voiceovers for the monthly rewind videos, he's actually funny! If only the Nintendo Life team of Zion, Alex and Jon worked for Nintendo!
I actually enjoyed the Nintendo minute videos and thought the 2 hosts had good chemistry on screen. A shame that it's cancelled but all things must end sooner or later I suppose.
I only ever saw these two during e3 and that was way more than enough.
They are boring and do not know anything.
Good riddance to bad actors!
I don't know who is worse, these two or Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb!
@Ryu_Niiyama I watched it for the first few years and then I could not stand the guy anymore. I was surprised they never replaced him.
So I eventually just stopped watching.
Good chance the abrupt ending was caused by Nintendo cutting overseas expenses. Offices in Toronto and Redwood City were also closed last month. It is clear to me in the video that Crysta is thankful but NOT happy with the decision at all. It came as a surprise to them.
I am sad to see the show go. They were a big part of my Saturday morning ritual. ☕
I really just wanted to decorate my basement in their white and grey Mario background. But I don’t know where to get it.
I loved those episodes. I wonder why they're ending it?
I didn't watch all their vids but they def had some fun and good content, it's actually saddening that the show is ending.
Good to know that both are still employed at Nintendo though!
Such a sad sudden development! I saw this final episode late last night, saw Kit have to carry most of the show because Krysta was barely holding back the tears, and have to admit I was getting misty eyed myself. 😢
I watched Nintendo Minute on my Wii U and was happy to find them on Switch too. I always liked the cheerful banter, introductions to current games and Nintendo merch, and occasional oddball stuff they would do. Lately I’d often watch episodes together with my kiddos and we’d sing along with the NM jingle. We’re going to miss Kit & Krysta’s little show! 💔
Heartfelt thanks for 8 years (!) of good times, and wishing the NM team success and continued fun in their future endeavors!
Honestly I kinda just forgot it was a thing. I thought they just did segments on big upcoming Nintendo games, but 400 episodes? Yeesh that's alotta cringe 😬
There always felt like a blatant insincerity from the hosts and I did not like it. They may very well be genuinely passionate Nintendo fans in their free time, but it never came across that way ever during any of these that I bothered to watch.
@HolyGeez03 agreed. Every time Nintendo wanted feedback about something, I would mention the guy seemed like a non-union background actor that was given lines.
I couldn't watch their videos even though the content was something I was interested in. Hopefully they will launch a new program with someone that's more engaging. Just imagine of Guru Larry or Slopes had an official Nintendo channel.
I think I've used to try and poke fun at some episodes, but knowing it ended, just makes me feel sad. I'm sorry. I wish Kit & Krysta happy lives in the future.
so turns out I'm one of the few people on a dedicated nintendo site that actually watched the show regularly and liked it
Unfortunately, there wasn't a single good episode of this show. Hopefully it will be replaced by something worth doing. I'm sure the presenters will land on their feet.
Man, I remember watching them all of the time when I was younger. I hope they continue to bring more great stuff at Nintendo
I assume this is a result of the closing of the California office. I believe that is where they were filmed.

I'm so sad that it's ending! I wouldn't have started watching YouTube properly if it wasn't for this show, which is how I found all these other amazing creators.
I watched them since the beginning, the show was as old as my kid. I feel very sorry it's ending out of nowhere. Hopefully, we'll see Kit and Krysta in other Nintendo media soon.
@SonOfVon x2. I didn't watch the show that regularly, mostly to avoid spoilers, but I really liked it.
Lots of people crapping on Nintendo Minute here, but I enjoyed their banter and it was kind of nice seeing the videos turn up every so often (though, like many it seems, I only watched irregularly). Kit and Krysta were good hosts, and had a really realistic dynamic (which is why so many comments on YouTube were like “they hate each other!”… that’s just how people who are close can be).
One thing though… “and remember, a Nintendo minute is never a minute” never stopped sounding super awkward. The line is undeliverable.
I never really got who this show was meant for.
It was fun thinking these two secretly hated each other. I dont know if anyone remembers the older videos but it was pretty apparent, haha
Does anyone know why its been ended? I liked the show, its a real shame its stopped. I know there are a hundred different YTers, but these 2 had the actual creators of some of the best games ever made on there show! Will Ninty make another show to replace it?
Never liked it, "Kit and Krysta" never felt genuine, gave the feeling of just corporate PR-people trying to do a fake gaming YT-channel. I miss the good ol' days with Club Nintendo.
Anyways, there are so many good YT-Nintendo channels out there, without being officially Nintendo, just done by real gaming enthusiasts.
@oconnoclast finally someone with info. I guess they got an ultimatum relocate or well I figure they’ll have quiet goodbyes.
Thank you now this makes a lot more sense.
I like watching videos on my switch news feed and their show was one that I looked forward to. My daughter also likes them and we were kinda sad hearing its their last episode. Only got a switch late 2019 so I never saw any of their earlier vids. I thought they did a good job given the bounds of Nintendo PR and their chemistry was pretty good too.
Thank God, they were insufferable.
Time to binge all 400 videos while I hunt a shiny Zygarde.
i watched just some episodes of Nintendo Minutes, most of Nintendo Minutes episodes are disposable.
It's really hard to say Good Bye to them.
@Ryu_Niiyama
It's simple poking fun and jest - hardly serious. She also did the same to him. Why are people white-knighting imaginary grievances? It's cringe.
This was a bit of shock. While I didn't watch regularly, I enjoyed the series whenever I did. And contrary to others, I never felt the two were disingenuous and seem to be real Nintendo enthusiast.
I really liked that show, it was charming. That sucks it's over.
@Captain-Cluck no it wasn’t, but “it was just a joke” is the common fallback for being called out for rude behavior or to defend others for their rude behavior. And like I said Kyrsta eventually started pushing back on Kit but his actions were always the same. So it seems like the only one “white knighting” is you. My opinion of Kit still stands.
That chick is about 4 feet tall, that's all I know about them
Nintendo always cancel’s something that’s good, although I watched Nintendo Minute cause I had a crush on Krysta ! I would like to see some form of Nintendo Power come back but it probably wouldn’t be the same !!
Compared to PlayStation Access I always felt Nintendo Minute was a bit too artificial and like an advert. Still impressive they’ve gone on for 8 years.
Where do I get their background wallpaper from
First time I've heard of this. I'll check out some of the videos 😁
@Justaguest You think they started getting along over time?
Always enjoyed the videos that I watched of theirs. Seemed like they had a lot of fun. Will miss their presence. Abrupt ending. Hopefully they’ll get to create some more content for Nintendo in the future.
Nintendo Week (with Gary and Alison, on Wii) >>>>>>>>>>> Nintendo Minute - and it's not even close.
@Nico07 I think them becoming more reclusive happened after Iwata died, not when Reggie left. Iwata seemed way more passionate about his job and appeared in multiple directs, hosted almost entirely by himself, unlike the new CEO who we barely hear from or see.
@ModdedInkling Yeah I agree, I think when Nintendo skips out on major events like The Game Awards it's a bad idea, from what we've seen from the Wii U, Nintendo's most dedicated fans can't keep them afloat, they need to draw in more and new people and one way to do that is have a big and noticeable presence at special events, one where gamers from different gaming platforms watch too. On the marketing thing, Nintendo's ads are really boring now, it's usually a family or one person just playing the Switch with some game footage. I miss the 90s and 2000s where their ads were more interesting and varied.
@MarcusIsCool Nintendo was way more personal with their fans a decade or so ago, I remember for the Mario 30th anniversary they showcased fan made videos and the eShop used to have videos made by fans on it. One of them was a parkour video but the people were dressed like Mario characters, I don't remember what it was called but I liked that fans were interacting with Nintendo in some official capacity.
That's a shame, these two were great. I remember being in the Smash Ultimate episode they had at Comic Con 2018. Got beat early on but have since grinded my way to Elite Smash after that defeat. They were super nice in person & Bill Trinen was there too. Interested to see what they do next at Nintendo or elsewhere.
I’m really surprised the show lasted as long as it did. The 2 hosts never really seemed to have great chemistry and they kind of seemed annoyed with each other a lot 🤷♂️ Still sad to see something that kind of gave us a glimpse behind the curtain come to an end. Hopefully Nintendo will find a better way to show some slight transparency.
@Tourtus
My standard for good Nintendo ads was between 2016 to 2019. Nintendo really hit peak marketing in those years and I doubt anything would ever be able to top those off.
They lacked the charm Gary & Alison had, and the show itself felt often bland and boring. NW had the advantage of better actors and an actual set that looked cool.
And the best thing of all is that secretly they were aliens all along!
I miss Nintendo Week, wish these weren't constrained to the Nintendo Channel's 384x288 resolution or the fact that they're not really hosted anywhere without blurry 2005 youtube quality.
They're glorified commercials of games that don't exist in Nintendo's eyes so it's not like they'll pop up magically on their YT channel one day in better quality.
Aww this was sad, you can tell Krysta was struggling to keep it together for this episode. I hope we get to see these two in some form going forward, it was always nice to have these friendly faces for a company that could be very secretive.
the guy was far too annoying for me to watch this. i hope they relaunch something with just her
@octokid ACNH not getting enough content? It got an incredibly large update last month and great paid DLC. Sure, I wish they were continuing to release more, but you can't say that they didn't put a great effort to make this HUGE update.
They won't be missed
The best bit about it was how clearly they didn’t like each other.
@GamerJJ64 from what we know Krysta planned on retiring from Nintendo to go sailing so probably that
@sirmrguitardude lmao
@bstoppel Not really. It was mostly about Krysta retiring to go sailing
Never really liked them to be honest. Kit especially just oozed of "punchable gangly antisocial nerd", that just rubbed me the wrong way, and found them to be a little too uptight and forced, telling us things we already knew about the games they played, and making it blatantly obvious that they hated each other's guts and was only playing together for a paycheck. But I can see the appeal of them to a younger audience.
In all though... Good riddance. Their retirement was well overdue since the Wii. I wouldn't be surprised if Krysta was just waiting for the opportunity to ditch the cuck, and move to bigger and better things, and to be honest... I'm proud of her for doing so.
@Tailesque Yeah, their rough chemistry is exactly what made me skip their videos. It was like eating on a same table with show-window marriage couple. I am not surprised the show ended, but I think everyone involved really tried to make it happen. I wish them better luck with their next career.
Krysta was one of the most uninformed, inexperienced, casual clueless people to present a Nintendo game showcase & Kit was constantly passive-aggressively annoyed at her for being so lame. I heard her say about Mario 64, "My favourite part is where he goes to sleep". Yeah... I seriously hope Nintendo reboots 'real' Directs, I miss their humility & credibility.
Sorry, but thank god, I could not watch it as I found their voices so annoying
Kit has an anti-mayonaise agenda according to his twitter profile.. We dutch (we drown our fries in that *****) finally got to him!
@JustMonika Yea:) as time went on, they made up I think
@galarprince Oh ok. That actually sounds pretty exciting, ngl.
Seriously?!🥺😢😭😭😭I watched this show for ages and always smiled seeing Kit and Krysta’s playful arguing. I will definitely miss it. You could tell Krysta was on the verge of tears during the episode😭
Well, at least our homeboy Kit is still with us.
I wish her good luck with her future endeavors.
Technically wasn't Krysta Kits boss? I can't remember her title, but I always thought she was so fake playing casual clueless perky fan girl when in reality she was some upper management marketing or PR manager and iirc above Kit.
But I always thought Kit was the most punchable face this side of Keighley. Very hard to watch. He needs a turtle neck and pink scarf.
Part of me has a gossip level curiosity about their history though. The mutual antagonism and disgust always looked like two people trying to with with an ex ... And one wanted to get back together and the other wanted to be in Antarctica if given the choice between those options. It made it amusing at times.
Much as I hated the fakeness of it, it reminds me of the Iwata Wiiu era.... I'll miss it...
At least make a new article. Baited me in with 128 comments when 99 percent of them are like 3 weeks old.
When seeing those Twitter screenshots, I was hoping Krysta's last name was Ellis too. Was hoping her and Kit were married.
14 years is a long time with one company these days. Best of luck to Krysta in the next chapter of her career.
Some of the comments here are rude and gross.
Well I wish them the best at least
Wonder why she is leaving though.. But i wish her the very best
@-Juice- People like that i just mute and block... Their comments don't deserve my attention
Nintendo will never be the same. It feels like almost all of the staff from the Wii and Wii U eras have retired. I wish Krysta the very best in her future professions.
The End of an Era
I don't understand why NL makes so many "slow news day" articles, yet ones that are decently important are just "updates" to articles that already have over 100 comments. I want to add something to the conversation, but I feel like whatever I have to say will just get lost in the landfill. Y'all need a better system.
Anyways, I can't help but feel this is a bit weird. If it's her "dream job," why quit? She doesn't say she's moving on to bigger ventures or anything, and I really don't know what would be bigger than Nintendo anyways. Only other thing I can think of is if she's moving, but you'd think she would have said so. I know she has no obligation to go into details about her business, I just think it's oddly vague. I like to think Nintendo is better than that, but with all the Activision stuff, I hope she wasn't dealing with any mistreatment or something. That's just pure speculation on my part and I'm probably wrong--hope so, anyway.
Anyway, best of luck to her in her future endeavors. Strange Jon announced he is leaving Nintendo Life at the same time. Perhaps Jon and Krysta are having a secret affair and are going to run away together. Meanwhile, Jon's wife Roxy will join Kit as the spokespeople of "Nintendo Second," which is never a second. (Jk, I'm sure Jon is a faithful partner.)
Yeah, these comments are something else. Not saying Nintendo Minute wasn't pretty cringe and awkward or that I particularly enjoyed watching it, but some of these assumptions being made about their character--how Krysta is a ditzy, fake gamer-girl and Kit is an uptight, pretentious jerk--are rather mean and unnecessary, in my opinion. We don't know what they're like off camera.
Also, just letting y'all know this is the second time this week I got a 502 error trying to connect to the website. I don't think it's me, as it only happens on Nintendo Life. Might aught to look into it.
Do THATS the reason they quit the show. She was leaving… I’ll gladly take their place, just saying lol
@MetalPhoenix83 Nintendo Power has been back for some time actually, as the official Nintendo Podcast.
They will probably have a show similar to what Nintendo Minute did, it replaced Nintendo week, so in the near future I would not be surprised to see a similar show with new hosts replacing it.
@Not_Soos nl should have had this in the article, but @oconnoclast mentioned the link earlier. Kit and Krysta apparently worked in the San Francisco satellite office NoA is closing and offering to consolidate to HQ in Redmond. Presumably Krysta isn't interested in moving to Redmond, so, that ended that.
@NEStalgia Thanks for clarifying--makes sense. It sucks when an employer requires its employees to relocate--especially since this pandemic has proven how simple it is to work from home. What a shame.
Obviously she was unhappy with the axing of the show and the way she was treated by Nintendo.
@Not_Soos
Yeah, I skimmed through the comments and some of them are pretty awful.
It's okay to not like Nintendo Minute, but is it really necessary to say they have a "punchable face", whatever the heck that even means?
Some of ya'll need therapy...
This makes me wonder... if they hadn't ended Nintendo Minute, do you think Dark Kit could have been a possibility?

(Obviously no, but is fun to wonder)
Never understood the target audience for this show?
……non gamers?
@CharlieGirl probably age, but we will know more with their replacements. If there are no replacements, then Nintendo just wanted no show.
i've watched some shows and it felt so fake. Fake happiness fake responses. Now she respond shes leaving her dream job, wich is also fake.
They act like kids in the factory of willy wonka.
it's sad but for the better, this is the first time I gave them a minute of my time
Does anybody know why Nintendo shut this down?
EDIT: Perhaps because of what @oconnoclast said.
@abbyhitter
Someone’s gaydar needs tuning.
@gloom most likely the other way. That she quit because the show ended
I wish Krysta the best in all she does.
Wish her the best, and what a period of life to go through god damn. You know youve got it good when youre in a picture with reggie
Sad to see it go it was the last thing Nintendo had that reminded me of Nintendo Week on the Wii which I miss a lot. Probably the best video series Nintendo ever made to date. Dark Gary #1!
So they still work for Nintendo or they complete gone off the grid?? So where they employees of Nintendo or not?
@westman98 "punchable face" = smug, obnoxious jerk just begging for a good punching.
Based on many of her reactions to him, I'm pretty sure Krysta would agree with that sentiment....
Honestly, they got on my nerves
@Chibi_Manny oh I remember watching those guys. Good times.
Good on Krysta doing bigger and better things. Kit is insufferable and I don't blame her for finally wanting to be done with him. Guy's got a punchable face.
In all good riddance. Never liked their Nintendo Minutes. It was painfully obvious that they had no chemistry with each other as people and we're only in it for the paycheck.
@Not_Soos Jon's leaving Nintendolife?? D:
@westman98 This is the first time I agree with you 100% and proudly. Let people live and have fun. If that hurts you, you have a problem.
That show was patronizing, soulless marketing.
This update is like necromancy haha
Nooooooooo I watched almost all the episodes on my 3DS and I loved them so much because to this day it's still one of my favorite youtube series
At 1:25 in the video, that Pro Controller is about to die a death.
@oconnoclast Great points! You probably nailed the reasoning. I highly doubt I would relocate for any job, even my dream job.
They had to go to make room for more Cat Mario Show.
Seriously it is an end of the era.
Honestly, I can see why she left, I mean Nintendo minute had already been axed so what more was there to do?
I loved watching them but I wasn't a regular. I would not watch them for months then catch up for the games I cared for. I loved how fake everything sounded, how they tried really hard not to curse or say the slightest negative thing about... anything and avoiding any innuendoes. It was (barely) disguised advertisement, not entertainment, but I still enjoyed watching them.
@oconnoclast That's gotta be hard, having to leave your dream job. I'm sure this was not an easy decision for her to make.
Via TikTok today Kit has also cleaned up his office and left nintendo.
Anybody else feel this wasn’t their decision to make?
Just make a new article. Stop baiting me in with 177 comments when I have read them all before.
@blindsquarel Yeah, I don't like the updates, sure it's a very small bit of new info but NintendoLife has made new articles for far less important things.
Also agree with what you said about the comments.
Something smells fishy if they both left.
It’s been probably 4-5 weeks since the final Nintendo Minute, and I really do miss the show. The News tab on my Switch is just sparser now, with like no videos to watch lately. I haven’t even noticed any Neko Mario Time or Arino-san’s Yoiko Game Life episodes in the Japanese news lately, either. 🥱
How many times have they left? That's how I read it time every time I see in my feed. Also, TLDR.
My kids and I always enjoyed watching the Nintendo Minute episodes. For our household, Kit and Krysta were definitely a part of the current Switch culture, and they will be (already are) sorely missed by us.
It was nice to have a show featuring actual Nintendo fans telling about their progress in the latest game release, or recounting stories from their youth which involved Nintendo of course. This is much preferred to just paid actors like the Alison and Dark Gary stuff in the Wii days.
I don’t know what happened to Nintendo Minute and the sudden departure of both of these employees almost simultaneously. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence. Either way, Kit and Krysta leave some big shoes to fill.
nintendolife will have to get the scoop on who's replacing Kit & Krysta. Jose Otero, perhaps?(formerly of ign's NVC podcast, he's at nintendo now.)
This makes me sad in an odd nostalgic way. I think kitsch marketing has an honest quality that overly produced / generic brands often fail to capitalize on.
sudden departures from public faces is a little worrisome.
They’ve been leaving Nintendo on a weekly basis at this point
...waits patiently for the 'Kit and Krysta join Microsoft' story.
@GrailUK lol
shrug I only watched it a handful of times, and I was never aware they worked for Nintendo in the first place.
@Tasuki Their contracts have probably just expired
Aw that's a shame, was hoping he'd stick around.
Removed - unconstructive
@Flashlink99
If you don't care, then don't read this article. You don't speak for everyone, you know?
@Nalverus @Tasuki @AgentGuapo
It does seem rather odd that both are leaving Nintendo at relatively the same time. I hope that whatever Nintendo is planning to do for future marketing, it better be good.
@ModdedInkling @Nalverus @Tasuki @AgentGuapo Worth a reminder that the branch of NoA they worked at is shutting down (San Francisco). It's likely that neither of them was willing to uproot their lives in order to keep working at Nintendo.

Some comments here seem really uncalled for. I didn't watch the show regularly but I saw a few bits and clips of some of the episodes. They were fine to me, just not my thing that much.
Maybe Nintendo will replace it with something else? Or it could be the end of anything like that again for at least a while...
Hope the best for her future.
@aaronsullivan
That is a fair point. I do wonder what was the intention behind this whole restructuring.
Why do you keep reposting this
@Funneefox Updates to the story.
I'll admit I never watched them, but either way: Another way of promoting Nintendo games gone. I don't think anything will replace it. Its a wonder Directs still exist.
Since the Switch is still a massive succes Nintendo is just resting on their laurels cutting stuff left and right. Everything to cut costs. At least it feels that way to me.
I personally enjoyed watching them when I was younger! The fact that Nintendo did anything that spanned over at least two consoles is proof they had faith in them, and gave them the thumbs up to keep going. Why did they end it?
I feel like this is connected to the next console somehow. If they do anything new, I don't know if I'll want to see it or not
It was like watching beige talk.
@Dark_Isatari It wasn't the most interesting show indeed, I mean compared to alot of Nintendo youtubers out there, it was kinda bland and stiff to be honest. But maybe it was because of the Nintendo inhouse rules that prevented them from doing anything off the script. If they host their own youtube channel it should be more interesting. Anyway wish them luck.
@AW1Long the fact that Nintendo is closing the location they worked at and them not wanting to move to a different part of the country to keep working for Nintendo is the most likely reason for me (see comment from @aaronsullivan)
I hope y'all will report here where they both end up.
@westman98 totally agree. I thought it was a fake garbage PR show and commented as such, but there’s never a need to use aggressive, quasi-violent terms like that
