Enjoy the benefits of a carbon fiber bow - laser-straight tracking, excellent control and unparalleled durability - all at a great price. The perfect bow to teach young players correct technique, the Presto bow is also used by many advanced players for outdoor or pit work, or as a backup bow. PRESTO bows are only made with aerospace-grade fibers and resins. The engineering process guarantees longevity by eliminating "creep," a flaw in carbon-fiber manufacture that can warp a bow or diminish camber over time. All bows are thoroughly inspected, meaning only bows with the best craftsmanship are sent to our customers. Black with finished stick, ebony frog with Parisian eye (bass bows with pearl eye).

Presto Carbon Fiber Bow

The Presto Carbon Fiber viola bow came recommended to me with purchase of my instrument, and I have the comfort and performance it provides for a reasonable price.

This bow helped me when I was in a pinch a week before a concert with my university symphony. It is easy to work with, has a decent weight, and handles massive usage in a small period of time. This makes for great back up bow in time of need, or a good starter carbon fiber for those that are new to them.

I got this bow because it was carbon fiber and more durable than wood and keeps straight. Well, this one has creep - an unintended, undesirable bend 90 degrees from the intended, necessary camber in the bow. The hair itself is of uneven length with 8-10 that reach the opposite side of the stick when loose. Looking with hair side up, from the frog, down to the tip and at playing tension, there is a warp: The hair has a slight twist to it, a wind. I can twist the tip to make it true but it won't stay of course.
The entire adjusting screw is used to reach playing tension. And yet I play this bow as well as any pernambucos I have. My other Presto for cello is perfect. I can correct hair issues when I re-hair it. Bad day at the factory? Seconds get shipped accidentally?
No matter. If this plays this good in this condition, I imagine what a better made one would do. I recommend this bow.

This bow opened my eyes.

Before I bought this bow, I was using a cheap stock brazilwood bow that came with my viola. Due to an accident, the bow itself broke, and given the cost, it wasn't worth fixing. Off a suggestion, I bought this bow. The moment I picked it up and bowed a
string, that was it. At that point in my life, I knew I could never go back to a brazilwood bow again. The bow glides easily and feels great in the hand. It's not a pain to rosin and even my teacher was amazed at the quality of the bow for the price. I'd definitely
recommend this bow.
