So comfortable you'll forget it's on your back!

The Shar Traveler is the perfect case for the violinist on the go, whether around town, on campus or at camp. Although it looks like most oblong cases, the Shar Traveler features built-in contoured backstraps. Best of all, they self-stow under a clever flap so they're out of the way when you don't need them.

Shell: Reinforced, lightweight foam.

Interior: Soft velvet lining, suspension feature, two accessory compartments and two bow holders.

Outside: Black nylon cover with black accent trim, flip-latch, YKK zippers, subway handle, large padded carry handle and two large products with zipper closure (one for sheet music and the other for shoulder rest, runner and other accessories).

Size: 4/4 size

Very Nice!

Great fit for my 4/4 Strad copy and 2 full size bows. Interior plush is a rich, dark blue, not cheap looking. Interior compartments are nice but won't accommodate my shoulder rest (so I put it in the larger of 2 exterior pockets). Molded handle, end strap, detachable shoulder strap, and hide-able backpack straps. Rubber feet to protect case from floor on bottom and end. Notable is the SHAR patch, which is embroidered. Very happy customer.

Great Entry level case

Many of us at one time or another, for one reason or another find outselves in need of an inexpensive violin case. Perhaps one needs a storage case for an instrument being sent to a luthier for minor repairs or we have a young relative or family friend
beginning his or her journey into music. Whatever the reason, the Shar Traveler is simply a wonderful case for the sub $100 price point it falls within. In the interior all seams and stitching are neat and well finished. Bow spinners and ribbon under the bows
are tight. The velvet finish is likewise well applied to the interior and smooth-there is no noticeable bubbling. The two compartments seal snug, have tasteful, brushed brass opening knobs and the elastic closure ensures that what has been put inside them
stays there. There is also a nice padded blanket included(made of the same interior material)that ensures an extra bit of protection. My instrument is medium-high arched and there is a fair amount of clearance at the bridge, even with the blanket, to shut
the case comfortably which I know is sometimes an issue with less expensive cases. The exterior is made with the same apparent care and the canvas cover appears sturdy and all seams are tight and even. The pair of exterior pockets are fairly spacious for music
and a tuner or larger shoulder rest(I'll come back to this momentarily). The closure system is simple but effective, consisting of a zipper and center-front latch. Lastly, the case is definitely lightweight and As of yet, the only drawback that I have discovered
till now is that surprisingly, neither of the two interior compartments are large enough for a Mach One shoulder rest and instead it must be stored in the much less secure, small exterior pocket. As a whole the Shar Traveler is a solid and very attractive
option for any budget minded beginner or indeed for anyone simply needing an inexpensive but secure case, for whatever reason. Even with the one shortcoming of interior compartments that could be a bit larger, this is a good enough case to warrant a five star
rating.

Love! this case

This is the best case I have ever used in my life! I've seen many different types of cases that my colleagues use and I really wanted a case that was easy to travel with and was large enough to carry all my supplies. This case meets those requirements, there is plenty of space for storing all my supplies (shoulder rest, rosin, metronome, etc) plus a nice little music pouch big enough for methods books or standard sized folders. The backpack straps are easily stored behind the Velcro flap if you want to use the shoulder strap instead. Great case and relatively inexpensive for how nice it is! Would highly recommend to any student/traveling musician!

Exceptional for the price

This case is definitely a snug fit for a 4/4 violin (my bow only fits in one of the two slots), but it is otherwise a GREAT case. It is incredibly light, with versatile, comfortable straps. As a teacher, I cycle from school to school with my violin on my back and this case serves me really well. Also, it was very reasonably priced!
