Topic: What are you listening to right now?

After seeing Sonic 3 and absolutely loving it, I’ve been listening to a couple of songs from the game series. I went to a playlist Spotify made featuring a couple of popular songs from some of the games, and this is what I listened to recently from the playlist on shuffled order:

I haven’t actually listened to the songs from
Sonic Frontiers, and I was surprised that a couple of them were rock songs. I liked the intensity of the Frontiers songs, and I also find Sonic R’s songs to be very lively, positive and catchy; I actually have repeated Super Sonic Racing so many times lol. I’ll listen to more of the songs later today.

Before that, I was listening to sweet time replay by CAPSULE, American Boy by Estelle, as well as another MARETU song called Thirst. American Boy is so gosh darn catchy, and I found myself repeating it a bit too much haha. For MARETU, I’ve listened to almost all of his discography on Spotify, save for Thirst, which I didn’t really know how it sounded. I like the guitar strums in the beginning of the song and the way he has the vocals tuned in the song. I just love the instrumentals for his songs and I think they go super well with the vocals and tuning of his songs.

Right now, I’m really into a mix of genres. I’m listening to a blend of electronic, indie, and some classic rock. I mostly stream them through a music service, and sometimes I dive into older albums from vinyl or CDs when I’m in the mood for something different. Music is definitely something that always keeps evolving, and I think it’s all worth appreciating.

On the Nintendo Music app, I've been listening to the Sweet Sweet Canyon theme while decorating for my party. What a cute theme! I love the xylophone bit at the beginning, too. Also been listening to the themes for Kalimari Desert and Yoshi's Island (both being the MK8D versions).
